Sunshine State Babywearing, Inc.
Who We Are.
Sunshine State Babywearing, Inc. ("SSBW") is a 501(c)(3) public charity whose mission is to provide babywearing education and support to caregivers in the state of Florida.
We are presently located in Alachua County, Florida. We host two meetings each month that are free and open to the public. In addition to education, these meetings offer low-cost access to carrier lending from our library of carriers. We also offer specialty workshops each month as well as private or small group babywearing consultation sessions scheduled at your convenience. (Fees are associated with workshops and consultations sessions.)
Our goal is to help families learn about babywearing and work with them to find a carrier that fits their needs and their budget! Babywearing offers numerous health benefits for both children and caregivers, but the options for carriers - and the price-tags - can be intimidating. Our organization helps caregivers so that they can safely wear while out and about, during sleepless nights, and to help them boldly go where no stroller has gone before!
